The Australian artists are all members of the Orana Arts Studio Co!Lab network. This network of more than 90 artists of various artforms are spread across Regional New South Wales, southeastern Australia, which covers all areas of the State except for the Greater Sydney area and the Australian Capital Territory (Canberra).

Untethered came from my experience of the border lockdowns, when Australia felt like a soft-walled prison I was unable to leave, and the feeling of the interconnection between pandemic, power, separation, birthing and letting go of any form of control.

This collaborative work with Scott Feringa (see drawing in Visual Artworks section) explores memory, service, and the enduring impact of war. Shiny Shoes and Medals honours Vietnam veteran, Tommy Gray. The song, performed by band, Indistinct Chatter, reflects on Tommy’s experiences and dedication to fellow veterans through the Returned Services League (RSL).
