The 2O26 Orana Arts Small Grants Program

The Orana Arts Small Grants Program is an annual small grants program to support the development of eligible arts and cultural activities across Dubbo, Warrumbungle, Narromine and Gilgandra.  Funding is designed to:

  • Increase opportunities for people living in the Dubbo, Warrumbungle, Narromine and Gilgandra local government areas to access a diverse range of arts programs 

  • Enable Orana Arts communities to explore and express their cultural identities through local-led projects 

  • Bring social and economic benefits to the communities within the Orana Arts region through training, employment and promotional opportunities.



To Be Eligible, You Must

01 Be one of the following applicant types:

  • Not-for profit, incorporated organisations

  • Local government authorities

  • Individuals and/or sole traders, or

  • Unincorporated groups with an auspice organisation.

02 Be currently based in one of the following Local Government Areas:

  • Dubbo Regional

  • Warrumbungle Shire

  • Narromine Shire

  • Gilgandra Shire.

03 Have a project that

  • Commences between Saturday 1 August - Friday 31 December 2026

  • Is completed by Wednesday 30 June 2027

04 Have an ABN or an auspice with an ABN


Eligible Projects can include, but not limited to:

  • Workshops

  • Art-related activities as part of community festivals or events

  • Artist-in-Residence Programs

  • Public arts and design projects

  • Performances

  • Arts and cultural directories

  • Community seminar and forums

  • Exhibitions

  • other local arts initiatives

Who is not eligible to apply?

01 You Are Not Eligible To Apply If You Are

  • an interstate organisation

  • a professional touring group

  • a commercial enterprise

  • an unincorporated group without an auspice

  • a State or Federal Government Department, including schools (except P&Cs who are incorporated)

02 You Are Not Eligible To Apply If You Have

  • Already applied for or received Create NSW funding for the project in your application.

  • Overdue reports for any funding programs administered by RANSW and/or Create NSW.

  • Not discussed your project with an Orana Arts staff member

  • Received an Orana Arts grant prior and, in the opinion of Create NSW and/or Orana Arts, did not use the grant monies to fulfil the conditions of the grant to a satisfactory level and worked against the intention of the Grant and its guidelines.
