Regional resources
This section provides links to arts and cultural venues, community arts organisations, and project spaces across the Central West Orana region. The Central West Orana region takes in the local government areas of Dubbo Regional, Warrumbungle Shire, and parts of Gilgandra Shire, Narromine Shire, and Mid-Western Regional Council. We work with a range of partner and member organisations including local government, Local Aboriginal Land Councils, and community arts orgnisations.
Dubbo Region
The Dubbo Region takes in the communities of Dubbo City, Wellington, Geurie, Wongarbon, and Stuart Town, as well as smaller villages and localities including Brocklehurst, Dripstone, Euchareena, Eulomogo, Eumungerie, Maryvale, Mogriguy, Mumbil, North Yeoval, Rawsonville, and Toongi.
Dubbo Regional Council is a member organisation of Orana Arts.

At the WPCC you will discover exhibitions of contemporary art to local history and cultural events that speak to the many facets of society through the arts, history and performance. The Western Plains Cultural Centre offers venue hire for any occasion from corporate hire to community and cultural groups looking for space to create and connect.

The Joyce Schneider Auditorium is a 500 seat theatre with state-of-the art facilities including a comprehensive, computerised sound and lighting control room, box office, hydraulic orchestra pit, fly tower, dressing rooms, ‘green room’ and refreshment bar.
The Convention Centre is a flat-floor auditorium which can seat 750 theatre style, up to 500 banquet style with a break out room, extensive foyers, function bar and commercial kitchen. It is an ideal venue for a range of events including trade shows and exhibitions, weddings, school formals, concerts and award presentations.

The Trangie Local Aboriginal Land Council had a vision to establish a Keeping Place or Cultural Centre where the community could gather and meet.
The Wungunja Cultural Centre sits on a site that is culturally significant as it once provided emergency housing for Aboriginal members of the community. This site celebrates our connection to Aboriginal heritage and is often showcased through stories told in various forms of art.
