Total enrollments: 144 children. Trangie Central School is a small rural school located 75kms west of the major NSW regional centre of Dubbo. Trangie Central School is part of the Dubbo School Education Area. The school is situated in an area that is dominated by cotton production and crop farming with some livestock production. The school has excellent facilities which include a multi-purpose sports centre which is used for a variety of school activities. The school has a transient and changing demographic student base due to the recent decline in local agricultural conditions. The school has a mixture of experienced and young teaching staff. The school receives funding from the Priority Schools Program (PSP) and Priority Action Schools (PAS) Program and has received an additional 0.2 staffing allocation which it has put towards STLA support. Trangie Central School has a strong focus on technology, consistent welfare systems and community participation in its programs. The Senior school operates as part of the Western Access Program which allows it to offer a great selection of subjects and experiences that would not normally be available.
