The Songs of Henry Lawson

Here is a different and all Australian Show to add to your entertainment schedule. Introducing a new and exciting look at the poems of Henry Lawson plus the tunes behind Waltzing Matilda. Collector and researcher Roger Walter F.A.I.H.A has produced an outstanding film of Lawson's Poems set to music and sung by many artists. Each song has been matched to rare archivel footage and black and white footage that bring a new dimension to these much loved poems, including som rarly seen live performances. Roger introduces each song and the circumstances that influenced Lawson to write them. This gives the show a "live" feel and audience involvement is welcomed. Also the great story of the tunes behind Waltzing Matilda. This presentation shows how two tunes, one Scottish and one English, ended up being the basis for this famous song.
