Total enrollments: 145 children. St. Lawrences Central School is a K-Yr Catholic school in the Bathurst Diocese. The school is located in Coonabarabran, a small town which relies on farming and tourism in north west NSW close to the Warrumbungles National Park. The school motto AD ALTA VIRTUTE- 'To the Highest Virtue' signifies our aim and vision for the students at the school. The Indigenous People of our region, The Gamilaraay People, have a strong affiliation with our school and the local Gamilaraay language is taught to students from K-.The school endeavours to provide an authentic, Christ-centred and effective Catholic education closely linked to the local parish community and a safe and caring community within a dynamic educational environment which promotes academic excellence and justice for all. Focus areas for the school are in the areas of Values Education, Restorative Justice, Religious Education, ICT and Literacy and Numeracy. Achievements for the school include:The use of and introduction of technology, the behaviour management plan, pastoral care policy, the middle schools literacy and numeracy program. Many extracurricular activities are offered in all areas of the curriculum.
