Mudgee Valley Writers Inc

Mudgee Valley Writers first met in 1986 and have been an active group in the world of creative writing ever since. They are affiliated with The Fellowship of Australian Writers. Members are encouraged to practice their writing skills by writing a short story or poem on a new theme each month. These pieces can then be read to the group and enjoyed by all. Ideas are exchanged and lively discussions on many and varied subjects enjoyed. Mudgee Valley Writers have published several anthologies of their collective works and support individual members with their own book launches. They run a biennial national creative writing competition for children and adults. Social events are attended with enthusiasm, the annual Birthday and Christmas parties, book launches, workshops and excursions to inspire the creative flow. New members are always sought and anyone wishing to come along will be made very welcome. An interest in the written word is all that is required.
