Maurice lectures on Military history at the University of the Third Age in Dubbo. His particular interest is in World War I events and the people who served in this war. In 2007 his class undertook a major project detailing the history of the names listed on the War Memorial Honour Roll located in Victoria Park Dubbo - in particular the names who were missing from this list. Maurice welcomes anyone interested in military history to come along to his classes.
