Published in literary magazines in every state in Australia, Kathielyn has read her poems in regional NSW from Eden to Lightning Ridge, & recently in Sydney & Melbourne. She also has vast experience in running creative writing & poetry workshops for schools & adult groups. Kathielyn Job's poetry is concerned with universal issues through a regional focus. Ron Pretty writes �� the sharp image, the shrewd observation of life� These are brief and evocative poems, often dealing with the basics of human existence." The Editor of Southland (No 22) introduces her poems as �� haunting descriptions of country life�. Job's career highlights include an Australia Council New Work grant in 2007, a Writers Residency at Bundanon and selection for the Poets on Wheels reading and workshop tour in 2004, and Literature Officer / Writer-in-the-Community for Outback NSW in 1995-6. Her poems are published in literary magazines in every state in Australia, newspapers, including The Weekend Australian, The Age and The Adelaide Advertiser, and select anthologies including The Best Australian Poems 2004 and 2005 (Black Inc Press, Les Murray, editor). Job's first collection was published by Penguin and was short-listed for the national Anne Elder Prize. Kathielyn is available to give readings of her poetry - she has read in regional NSW from Eden to Lightning Ridge, and recently in Sydney and Melbourne. She is also happy to travel to run workshops and has vast experience in poetry and creative writing workshops for both adult and school groups.
