Established in 1962, the Gulgong Pioneers Museum is located in the Old Times Bakery & Produce Store (1872-73) which was featured on the old Australian $10 note. The ovens and baking equipment remain on-site and unaltered. The museum displays a fascinating collection of Australia�s social and industrial history. A special feature is �A Celebration of Federation� which has Sir Henry Parkes� (The Father of Federation) chair and many other Federation items. Other displays include: Tools & Firearms, War Souvenirs, Victorian Drawing Room, Needlework & Clothing, Colonial Bedroom, Victorian Dining Room, Gold Mining, Colonial Kitchen, Times Bakery, General Displays of Printing, Education, Communication, Aboriginal Artifacts, Publicans Bar, Medicine, Photography, Household Goods, Musical Instruments, Literature, Audiovisual Displays, Vehicles & Saddlery, Cobb & Co Coach, Agricultural Machinery, Stone House, Cudgeon Cottage, Smithy, 1900s School House, Shearing, Engines, Rocks, Fossils, Barber Shop, Bank, Local Government, Caf� & Sweet Shop, Police Station, Refrigeration & Stoves, Dolls and many other general displays.
