Gulgong Memorial Hall

Gulgong Memorial Hall is located in Herbert Street, close to the centre of the historical town of Gulgong. It directly adjoins Anzac Memorial Park and Playground. The hall is an accommodating venue offering a variety of facilities and its central location makes it popular for meetings, birthday parties and dance classes. Numerous exhibitions are also held throughout the year. The annual Gulgong Eisteddfod is held in the hall during the month of May. In excess of 800 contestants travel from as far as Inverell to the north and Canberra to the south just to attend this event at the Gulgong Memorial Hall. The hall was recently treated to newly installed gas heating, ceiling fans, curtains, and new lining to the stage for dance students and productions. The hall is continuously undergoing refurbishment which includes the installation of a new industrial kitchen within the next 12 months. A permanent user of the Gulgong Memorial Hall is the Step Up & Dance Academy of Gulgong. Regular dance classes are conducted covering Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Contemporary & Stretch/Pilate's.
