The Gilgandra Photographers are a group of active local photographers who meet at the end of each month. They alternate between excursions and social get togethers where they bring along a few photos (good ones or failures,) for discussion, which is a great learning tool. Some of their excursions have included, the limestone caves north of Coonabarabran, Gilgandra cactus garden, the Castlereagh at sunrise, low light photography, Curban cemetery to name a few. They recently held a Black & White exhibition at the Cooee Heritage Centre titled Life, West of the Warrumbungles, which was a beautiful documentation of the past year of Gilgandra & Districts. New photographers are always made welcome and will find joining in a friendly informal way of improving their photography.
