Georgia Mansur

Georgia Mansur Fine Arts & Design. I grew up in California and moved to Australia in 1984 with my husband on a cotton property one hour west of Moree, NSW. This isolated new environment was an opportunity to look inward for my source of creativity and self expression. Painting and communicating my world became a wellspring of discovery and joy. Now living in Mudgee, I continue to explore watercolour, pastels, acrylics, mixed media and currently oils 'en plein air' to find the best way to express my fascination with nature. Being able to share that original emotion of being moved by nature, helping others to see the way light and colour on form produces artistic €magic€ drives me to share this passion. Teaching and communicating about creativity/self expression is fulfilling for me. As Artist in Residence at Hamilton Island, as well as teaching workshops around the country, I enjoy interaction from helping others to tap into their natural creativity within. Finalist in the 2008 Country Energy $35,000 Landscape Prize, and have won many awards, including First Prizes in art shows judges Edmund Capon, Justin Miller and Georgina Pemberton.
