Emily is a potter with almost 30 years experience of making domestic and artistic pottery. Located near Bathurst with a studio and gallery open to the public she is always happy to meet those who love her work. I love the feel of clay as it slips through my fingers on the wheel, changing from a formless lump to a balanced graceful form. I then get great joy is wielding the brush in the search for fluid line and balance and capturing an idea. I also enjoy playing with glazes, Arabic lustres and other decorating and firing ideas. The challenges and fascination never diminish over the years I just find out more areas that I want to explore. I am working with Bathurst and Mudgee potters groups and I like the ability to be stretched by others and their enthusiasms too. I live in a beautiful place and try and take that beauty and bring it to bear in my art.
