Eddy Harris

Eddy Harris is a Bakandji man, born and raised in Wilcannia on the banks of the Darling River in Far Western NSW. Eddy works in 3 different mediums - painting on canvas, ceramic design and carved wooden artefacts. A recognised Bakandji Elder, Eddy has been teaching art and cultural practice through TAFE and various other organisations for much of his adult life. He is passionate about using his art to tell the stories of his people and promote an appreciation for his culture. Eddy nowadays divides his time between working with the community in Wilcannia & the West Darling region and his home base in Gilgandra.
