I€m refugee from Sydney and now creating my ceramics from the verandah at Clandulla. Everything is hand-built and original and I like to have fun with whatever my imagination takes a fancy, a politician may become a wine vessel, a foot a planter, chess sets that make a feature in the garden, elephants that become teapots, there are no rules to my work. However, charicature work is not my only interest, and the local materials have caught my interest. Heavy iron clays with glazes from the ashes taken from my fireplace. Or peasant country earthenware that shows off its own properties and am developing glazes to complement what is specific to this part of the world. Surrounded by the beauty of the Wollemi National Park and so many regional ceramic masters, right here in Clay Country . . . I am on an adventure totally my own. I am a member of the Ceramic Focus Group.
